The Glanzlichter exhibition is designed as a touring exhibition and is presented at exhibition venues in Germany and beyond. It gives cultural institutions, museums, galleries, visitor centres and other suitable venues the opportunity to bring international nature photography to a wide audience.
Today, Glanzlichter exhibitions attract around 350,000 visitors each year.
At a time when images are increasingly digitally altered or artificially generated, Glanzlichter offers a space dedicated to authentic nature photography. Every award-winning image undergoes a rigorous and independent review process – ensuring that each photograph represents a genuine moment in nature.
The exhibition features a total of 86 high-quality photographic prints showcasing the winning images from the respective competition year.
Exhibition Details
- 86 exhibition prints in total
- 76 prints measuring 50 × 60 cm – featuring highlights from the individual categories
- 9 prints measuring 60 × 80 cm – the winners of the individual categories
- 1 print measuring 90 × 120 cm – the Overall Winner of the competition
- 2 information panels measuring 50 × 60 cm – providing information about the competition and the accompanying Glanzlichter book
High-Quality Presentation
All photographs are printed on high-quality aluminium composite panels (Alu-Dibond) and presented in black aluminium frames by HALBE. Each frame is equipped with a hanging system on the back, allowing for straightforward and secure installation using hooks.
Special Exhibitions from the Glanzlichter Archive
Over the years, Glanzlichter has built an extensive archive of award-winning photographs. Almost 1,000 different exhibition prints from previous competition years are now available, and the collection continues to grow with every new edition.
This extensive archive also provides the basis for thematic special exhibitions that can be created independently of a specific competition year.

- The Continents of the World
- Underwater Worlds
- Forests
- Endangered Species
- Extreme Habitats
- The Fascination of Nature
Individual themes and focuses can also be developed to suit specific requirements. In collaboration with the host venue, a selection can be created to complement the available exhibition space, appeal to a particular audience or tie in with a specific event or theme.
